Christmas in Prince Edward County

Time to start making Christmas cards I guess. Here's number one. I think I'll rework this a bit, but decided to stick it up anyhow, as it's been about forever since a post.

Comix Jam

Here is a little sketch from a recent Comix Jam. It's often difficult to follow some of the storylines that are created, so a little help from Capitain Non-Sequitur is always appreciated.

Dinosaur Dig

Here is a quick illustration I did for a company that I have been involved with off and on for several years. They are developing an off shoot company, for which I designed the logo a brochure, a big trade show wall and a couple other things. You can see some of that design at their website.

Dinner sketch #2

I normally don't do too much dark stuff, but a friend got me thinking along a certain line, and hell, it is kind of fun. (pun unintended...)

The neat thing about this sketch, is that I didn't color it in any normal way. It started out a wishy washy bad scan like this:

I used Photoshop selection tools, levels and hue/saturation, and the dodge and burn tools to add the color. The texture is all from the paper itself, which is sort of newsprinty, and it came out when it was pushed around.
Even the eyes were circle selections, colorized and futzed with rather than painting with a brush. I think they add a certain Scooby-Doo element to our fiend, don't you?

Knitting Goat

Here is a quick image I made for Lesley's knitted hats.
It's going on tags that will hang from the hats, so in the end it will be this big. Since I'm working in flash a lot these days, I made it there.

Dinner Sketch #1 - Quinn and Cameron

This is the first dinner sketch I'm posting in what will likely be the most populous of postings, as I eat with a fork and pencil.Quinn often has his friend Cameron over. They can usually be found in the basement playing Star Wars on the PS2, and bickering like an old married couple.
